Don't let the chill music and impressive editing fool you, this no standard outdoor shoot. We have an affinity for hanging around alpine climates after growing up in Alaska, and Norway has a similar appeal. These guys give you a view of the Scandinavian country that you've never seen before. And now flights to Norway are cheaper than ever. Who's up next?

Is climbing in the Himalayas on your bucket list? The notion of hiking around in the world's tallest mountains is a romantic concept. Many aspire to make the venture and some are lucky enough to actually do so. But have you ever wanted to mountain bike across the Himalayas? I am hearing my quadriceps scream just thinking about it. Well these guys are all for it. While this is not our typical Thrill Thursday video, it is breathtaking in another way.
The Tour of the Dragon is a 268km (166.5 mile) bike ride that ascends and then descends the Himalayas, and these extreme athletes attempt to complete it in just one day. It takes place in the Kingdom of Bhutan, and this supposedly secret race known only amongst the world's best athletes is being documented for the first time. We guarantee it would get your heart rate pumping so check out this week's Thrill Thursday: Tour of the Dragon. Father Nature Outdoors Because Mother Nature can be a pain Got a tip for us? It's partially the immensity and sheer magnitude of the snowpack barreling down the mountain, and its partially the jolt of mortality that such a sight puts in your bones. Thanks to GoPros we now have first hand views of these encounters and we can sit peacefully at our computers grateful that it's not us wearing the camera. Love the outdoors, love the mountains, love the snow.. but never want to see an avalanche from this angle. Pretty amazing everyone involved here came out A-okay.

Staring down a chute in Alaska's Tordrillo Mountains in South Central AK, you can hear Townsend beforehand with a quick "Ooh I'm getting nervous". I think we would be too skiing a crack in the rock face at 30+ mph. If claustrophobia seems to get to you, Townsend's GoPro footage provides just the experience you were looking for. Townsend's "Line of the Year" makes the perfect entry for this week's Thrill Thursday. Father Nature Outdoors

It's possible over the last week or two you saw the thumbnail for this video posted on social media by one of your ski buddies (Luckily we know a number of ski bums). If you haven't stumbled across this video yet, it's about time you do. GoPro and Redbull Sports have a beautiful marriage together which seems to produce many of the videos we are sent for Thrill Thursday. The video below is a prime example of that harmonious relationship. Enjoy. Father Nature Outdoors
