I've always found the concept of bumper stickers funny for advertising purposes. Here's why: Person "x" grabs a sticker representing your company and slaps it on the back of their vehicle. It's fantastic for visibility and getting your name out there. But then person "x" drives like a lunatic and all other drivers nearby say "What in the hell are they supporting?". Not so good for publicity. Even if person "x" is a great driver, no other driver is going to say "Wow that's a great driver, I wonder what they're into". Stickers- great for visibility, but a few potential challenges as well. Catch-22.
At FNO we are trying to go about our marketing methodically and organically. We don't desire to expand like crazy with rapid orders, but we want to have a happy customer base giving us feedback as we build more products. Equally important we want to keep a happy Founding Family; we owe a lot to them. We want to grow stable and organically which means you must take a unique marketing approach.
Our focus is on our blankets and continually finding ways to improve them. As fun and creative as t-shirts, waffles, and buffs can be they are not our end goal. Promotional items serve more than one purpose, but our ultimate goal is to create the best camping blanket on the market. This is our number one priority.
Stickers were just another promotional item and not a top priority. Also designing quality stickers can actually be pretty expensive. This is the reason a number of companies sell their stickers for a couple bucks. But why would you ask your supporters for money in return for marketing your company? That doesn't make sense.
So thank you for your support and enjoy! Grab one here!
